California native Chasen Wolcott is a visual artist who works on drawings and paintings driven by the inescapable qualities of the natural world. Chase’s work investigates the autobiographical translation of subject matter into a process of discovery through paint, color, and line. This collection also incorporates various artworks into his own mixed Native American and Mexican descent, as well as intersections with mythology.

Chasen grew up finding creative lines through surfing, skateboarding, and outdoor adventure thriving in a west coast angst of storytelling culture. Living in locations from San Francisco to Los Angeles where he now lives and works. The speed of modern life allows him to translate whatever subject matter through confident brushwork and mark making into a pictorial playing field of unstaged intimacy.
